here is my explanation for not posting for a long time...I'VE MOVED! I'm officially a homeowner. Well, a condo owner, to be exact. I am so excited. It is my first place where I have ever lived on my own. That being said, there are a lot of kinks to get out such as the fact that I don't have internet set up yet. Of course, being a true person of my generation I have already used up this months data on my iphone. I really hope to update this page more often as I know i've been slacking however this lack of wifi is making it quite an obstacle!
HOWEVER,
one possible positive to my situation is that its given me a lot of free time, that I would usually spend on stumbleupon, facebook and reading blogs, to think about the direction my life is going in. I'm still in college right now but I am starting to question the path i'm on. I always thought I knew what I SHOULD be doing. But I also know what I really love doing. I am happiest when I can be am creating something. I love all things fashion, beauty, decor, art, music, etc. So when I meet others my age getting to explore some of these careers I can't help but feel like i've done something wrong. I don't feel like i'm growing as a person, I just feel as if I'm in a state of transition: waiting for this period in my life to over so I can start really living.
I'm going to start making some changes in my life starting with this blog. I am happy I have this as a creative outlet but I see other people who have blogs that they update like its there day job! I need to find the motivation to do that as I want to be able to look back at it. I guess it does make it harder when I don't have stable internet connection and take all my pictures on my phone but I am making a promise to myself to update it once a week as something I look forward to. Not only that but I want to have something worthwhile to post each time I do so that can be my motivation to try new things! That is one of my flaws is I get super excited about a project which I start and then find a new project to start half way though. That's all going to change now. I plan to do some more posts on DIY projects I've been working on but I was also hoping to do some beauty, fashion and experience posts. I really am excited about getting to trace this new stage of my life here.
anyways, I'm pretty sure I stopped making sense a long time ago so I'm gonna end here.

Ice Cream that's GOOD for you?
The other day I was at Target, shopping for some home items to get my brand new place outfitted (more on that soon!) when I saw something that caught my eye. It was a new appliance named the "Yonanas" machine which claimed to create frozen desserts- comparable to frozen yogurt- using just bananas! Being a frozen yogurt fanatic I was interested but skeptical. It seemed a little too good to be true. so I thought i'd research into it a bit more once I got home, when I stumbled upon a interesting recipe from theKitchn, which promised banana frozen dessert results without any fancy appliances. Not only that, but it promised to be healthy for you! Obviously I had to try it, especially since the week before I had my wisdom teeth removed and was still living off of high added sugar ice cream and frozen yogurt! So I picked up some bananas and followed the easy as pie instructions. You just have to peel and slice bananas and freeze them for a couple hours before running them through the food processor for a couple minutes.
here is a snapchat I sent out right after my teeth were removed. Needless to say I think some of the effects of the laughing gas were lingering. For some reason I took a screen the image, effectively defeating the purpose of snapchat. Once the effects of the gas and freezing wore off I was definitely in less of a cheery mood!
I was amazed to see the creamy texture that the bananas turned into after only a couple minutes!
After this step you can re freeze the banana cream straight away or add other ingredients for flavour. I chose to add some Kraft food Honey Peanut butter which I just tried for the first time the other day and it is amazing! The end result was pretty good but it definitely had a very strong banana flavor. I think next time I will add more peanut butter for a little more protein. You could even eat something like this for breakfast instead of a peanut butter banana smoothie :)
oh...and for a little bonus picture

Welcome!
Welcome to my page!
Thank you for viewing it. I wanted create this page to start a type of catalogue of my life and some of my favourite things I love to share- making things, decorating, cooking, fashion etc, etc. I also wanted a way to see more from other people. I'll keep this sort but I will update soon. I am so looking forward to this project!
